We are so proud to celebrate the incredible success of our local leaders at this year’s West Country Women Awards, as featured in the Somerset County Gazette.
Amidst a record-breaking field of more than 2,600 nominees, Somerset’s talent shone brightly, with four exceptional women taking home top honors during the ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth.
Our Somerset Winners:
-
Best Supporting Act Award: Clare Farthing, founder of Inspiring Success and South Somerset Meetups. Clare was recognized for her dedicated work empowering entrepreneurs who identify as introverts, ambiverts, or highly sensitive, proving that quiet voices matter in a noisy world.
-
Community Award: Fiona Mahoney of Reminiscence Learning.
-
Women in Education Award: Heather Rybaruk from Click 2 Connect CIC.
-
Women in Health, Social Care and Wellbeing: Chloë-Anne Hammond.
In Their Own Words:
Reflecting on her win from a pool of 100 applications in her category, Clare Farthing shared:
“This award is for you, and for the spirit of our introverted community that lifts women when they need it most. It’s a celebration of every woman who has trusted the process and believed that gentle, authentic support matters.”
Thank You
A massive thank you to the Somerset County Gazette for highlighting these stories of resilience and leadership. We are also deeply grateful to the organizers of the West Country Women Awards for providing a platform that celebrates collaboration over competition.
Congratulations to all our winners—your work in education, health, and business strategy is making a profound difference across Somerset!
