We are delighted to celebrate a major win for our community! Honor Lovell, an Education Support Advisor at the University of Exeter, has been named the first-ever Apprentice of the Year at the prestigious West Country Women Awards.
Honor’s journey is a remarkable example of the power of professional development. Having started at the University at just 16 years old as a Level 2 Business Administration apprentice, she has steadily climbed the career ladder. Today, she manages a team within the Financial Services Degree Apprenticeships portfolio while simultaneously completing her own Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship.
A Journey of Growth and Leadership:

First-Generation Success: Honor is the first in her immediate family to attend university, using the apprenticeship route to earn a BSc (Hons) in Responsible Business Management.

Early Leadership: By age 21, Honor was already a line manager, proving that age is no barrier to excellence.

Inspiring Others: In her current role, she supports other apprentices, using her eight years of experience to guide them through their own learning journeys.
What Honor Had to Say:

As a winner, Honor has been invited to Westminster in February and will gain access to exclusive leadership networks and training opportunities.
